Wolves Don’t Bark

As a teenager, Georgina De Caigny enjoyed driving the back roads near her home in Canada’s Rocky Mountains, rescuing the feral dogs she found struggling to survive. When she first encountered a wolfdog during a summer job, she was immediately captivated and vowed to bring one into the pack that shared her home.

That instant fascination led Georgina on a path she could never have foreseen, filled with obstacles, challenges, significant learnings, and bonds deeper than even she might ever have imagined.

She learned the hard way how wolfdogs’ needs are unlike those of regular dogs and clash with the realities of a modern human world. Never one to want to be the centre of a story, she inevitably accepted that role as she made it her mission to enhance awareness and understanding while building the Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary –– a safe haven for creatures who are part wolf, part dog, and who are out of place in both worlds.

A portion of the proceeds from this book will be donated to support the Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary, which depends on donors to support its rescue and education mission.
